מפגש היסטורי ומרגש בין האדמו"ר מאלמין והרב מהקובל דוד אבוחצירא, בענין גודל חשיבות של הזוהר הקדוש: להלן הדו שיח מתורגם לאנגלית:
DO YOU THINK THAT YOU ARE WORTHY OF BEING PART OF SUCH LOFTY MERITS
VERY FEW ARE REALLY WORTHY OF BEING PARTNERS IN “MIFAL HA’ZOHAR HA’KADOSH”
There was a story told about R’ Elimelech z”l, and his brother R’ Zusha z”l. They once were travelling to raise money for the mitzvah of “Pidyon Shevuyim” Redeeming Captives”. They arrived at the door of a prominent and rich man. He welcomed them in and gave then old fashioned coins (which were out of use and basically worthless). Usually when he would give these coins to the “Meshulachim”, they would throw it back at him, this is why he always had them in his possession. It was customary for this rich man that after he handed out these coins and the “Meshulachim” left his house, he would stand outside to overhear how they would curse him and talk about him.
When these two Tzadikim received the coins, the rich man was listening to what their response would be to the almost worthless donation.
R’ Zusha z”l turned to R’ Elimelech and said; “What can we do”? “He is not on the list”!
When the rich man heard that he wasn’t on the list from behind the door, he stormed inside the room and asked: “What did you mean when you said I’m not on the list”?
“Have you made a mistake by coming to collect money from me that I’m not on the list of prominent rich people?
Rav Zusha z”l replied: “It is not that list which I was referring to”. “I was referring to the list in Heaven”. “For in Heaven, there is a list of people who are worthy of meriting to perform the holy mitzvah of “Pidyon Shevuyim” for which we have come to collect”. Buy giving us these worthless coins, that shows us that you are not on Heavens list. We have no complaints about your donation chas veshalom, rather we were just discussing what is happening in Heave”.
In shock, the Rich man replied: “If you are referring to that type of a list, I would like to know the total amount you need to collect for this mitzvah of Pidyon Shevuyim?
R’ Zusha z”l answered with an enormous outstanding debt still needed to be collected.
The rich man replied with much excitement: “I will give the entire amount of money that you need for this important mitzvah”.
The two tzadikim reply: “We are sorry but we cant take the entire sum of money from you because there are more people still on the list. We can only take half of the needed sum”.
In deed, they only took half of the sum so that they could collect the other half from those listed on the Heavenly list!
From this story we can learn a tremendous amount of “Mussar” and a very powerful message in the area of giving tzedaka. Not everyone merits the opportunities to perform mitzvos, especially like “Pidyon Shevuyim”.
The Kamarna Rav z”l writes that in order to be able to merit to perform mitzvos and merit others in torah and mitzvos, one needs to cry to Hashem that he should be saved from the Erev Rav, and that he does everything only “Leshem Shamayim” (For the sake of Hashem).
These merits of distributing seforim, being merav rechokim, and mezakeh the rabbim, don’t come for free. One needs to daven and cry to merit to these opportunities.
It’s obvious that in order to write, print, and distribute, all these seforim of “Zohar Ha’Shabbat (5 volumes) was from Heaven and came about through many tears and tefilos. One who learns from them for even half an hour becomes “Chozer Be’Teshuva” instantly because he sees the truth and purpose of life.
All of Klal Yisrael are holy. All that is needed is to ignite everyone’s spark which is their neshoma. This is why all these seforim were printed and distributed for free just to ignite the neshamas of klal yisrael. As soon as the neshama is awake she can immediately recognize with certainty her mission in this world and what is asked of her.
In these seforim, there is an assortment of many various quotes from the “Zohar Hakadosh” with an explanation from the Ba’al Ha’Sulam z”l. which speak about the importance of performance mitzvos and causing others to merit “Mezakeh Rabbim”.
Now, in order to merit to these great merits, they don’t come for free. One needs to cry a daven to Hashem that he should be on the list of those who are fit and worthy of such opportunities. Like the Rashi expounds on the pasuk: (Bamidbar 22-35) "לֵךְ עִם הָאֲנָשִׁים"
“Go with the men” – Rashi explains in the name of the Mirdrash Rabba “The same way as one wishes to go, so is the way that he is guided from above”.
The “Maharsha” expounds on the word “Molichin” that is referring to the Angels which guide you in the path that you chose to walk in.
The “Zohar Hakadosh” also says” "כַּד בָּעַי בַּר נַשׁ לְאִתְדַכְיָיא כַּמָּה אִנּוּן דְמִזַמְנִין לֵיהּ
“When one desires to sanctify himself, there are many (Angels) which are ready to guide him.
The Chofetz Chaim z”l also writes in his sefer “Shmiras Ha’Lashon” in Sha’ar Ha’Tevuna, that that Hashem guides a person according to his will and desire. If one desires to be a Tzaddik, they will guide him to be a Tzaddik. If one desires to be a Chasid, they will guide him to be a Tzaddik.
We have to understand that everything in this universe which is amazing and great in Hashem’s eyes is ALWAYS met with much resistance and troubles. However, if one’s will is strong and persistent, he can overcome any troubles and roadblocks which stand in the way and reach his goals.
Just as the “Zohar Ha’Kaodsh” says: "כַּד בָּעַי בַּר נַשׁ לְאִתְדַכְיָיא כַּמָּה אִנּוּן דְמִזַמְנִין לֵיהּ",
When one decides to sanctify himself, many angels will come and help him (Si’ata Dee’Shemeayah). Hashem will make sure that he will reach his goals despite the hardships that stand in his way!
Those who study the “Zohar Ha’Kadosh”, are called the greatest “Mezakeh Ha’Rabbim” (Those who give merits to others). For they purify their neshamas and the neshamas of all of Klal Yisrael. They also save and protect Klal Yisrael from terrible decrees both physically and spiritually. It is for certain, that their strength is mighty and bold, and their blessing yield fruits and their prayers are answered.
